Low quality compression fitting, avoid

This compression fitting was a total waste of money. Tools and Home Improvement would be better off without this product. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I could see that the material was subpar and caused leaks. The only pro was its low price, but you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a reliable compression fitting, skip this one.

Pros
  • Easy to install and use
Cons
  • Requires specific tools for installation

Minor Damage - Pipes, Fittings and Accessories

Two of the four couplings ordered had small pieces of male threads broken off. The small parts came in a heat-sealed mailer bag, so damage was likely to have occurred after the items were packed. I assume that the clutches are still fully functional. These clutches are white, not gray.

Pros
  • Pipes, Fittings and Accessories
Cons
  • Functionality

Not for 3/4 " OD tubing

This 3/4" compression fitting will not work with 3/4" OD galvanized tubing. Its 1" ID is too large. I thought that 1/4" diameter difference could be covered by squeezing the black rubber bushing when tightening the fitting, but that didn't happen, not even close. I tightened one end as far as the threads would allow, but there was still plenty of play. Notice the jiggling in the video The description of this item should explain that "DOES NOT WORK ON 3/4" OD PIPE". Addendum: So what works? Loch

Pros
  • Rough Installation
Cons
  • All Right
