4” WILL NOT WORK in tube fittings

Really wish they would work. I'm pretty sure the smaller rings work, logic is why they should work. But I used a 4 inch ring in a vertical application. You just can't put enough glue all over the pipe and keep it concentrated enough for the ring to seal. If it were horizontal it would work, but for a vertical application don't waste your money, just cut the pipe and get it right.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

Good product for fixing leaks on pipes, fittings and accessories

I had to use the kit whilst testing a head on a new design. One leak was in a 4 inch drain and stopped completely after application. Be sure to do a test fit prior to installation. I sanded the glue from the original assembly, primed and glued. After applying the glue, it stood in place. The second leak was in the 3" vent above the toilet drain T. Primer applied but no glue. It was not possible to get out because the squib was trapped and all ventilation of that side of the house was connected…

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • not reliable

Anti-drip ring on 2 inch pool pump inlet; There is practically no pressure in the line. Problem: The ring did not fit around the 2" PVC pipe and would not snap into place. So it didn't work as advertised. I was able to cement the ring to stop seepage, but I doubt it will withstand even domestic water pressure (80psi). Cheap but ineffective.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Almost never

Works like clockwork

I was skeptical based on other reviews but I'm very happy with how it works. I had a 2 inch pipe leak in my basement and a 4 inch pipe leaked in my dad's basement. I was able to fix both in under a minute each and haven't had any leakage issues in the past week. My guess is that the people who had trouble with this either didn't follow the repair ring instructions or didn't use the correct primer and glue and didn't follow the curing instructions. If you install dry and allow the glue to dry…

Excellent product - saves time and money

I was completing about 50 feet of new bathroom fixtures on the second floor and during a water pressure test found a pinpoint leak in one of the large fixtures. Nothing else will fix these leaks, sealant, silicone, etc. Standard practice is to remove the failed fitting, use couplers and new pipes, and do it all over again. At least it would take a whole day. I bought them on a whim and they were a good choice. It took me 3 minutes to install from start to finish. I checked the tightness at 15ft

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Doubtful

Thought I could reconcile it. And failed like the others.

Purchased to fix a small leak in a 2" PVC tee. From other reviews I knew closing the ring would be difficult. I was able to close it on the spare PVC, but when it came to the small workspace I couldn't do it. I think the problem isn't the size, it's the orientation of the fastener when it's flush with the PVC. I finally cemented it in place and sat and held it for 5 minutes which fixed the leak. Gave this 3 stars as the concept still solved my problem. If your working area is small and there is

My pool line isn't dripping anymore!

After remodeling some of the plumbing in my pool, I was slowly dripping from one of the 2 inch fittings. I think I didn't treat the glue well enough. I bought this set for a 2 inch ring only. After reading other reviews mentioning that the ring must be fitted directly to the leaking fitting, I used a flat file to ensure the joint between the existing fitting and the pipe was square and removed any glue , which had accumulated around the leaking faucet. I then placed the repair ring on top of…
