I go through camp chairs about every 2 years. I've also gotten a bit heavier over the years (which is probably why chairs don't last that long!). These chairs are fantastic! Very convenient. I agree with other reviewers, it's almost impossible to put them back in the tote bags, but we let them out of the bags and just toss the chairs in the trunk of the car when we need them. I have used this chair a lot, it is NOT comfortable. The crossbars in front under the hips get in the way. It is almost impossible to sit in it without touching these bars with your feet, so after 15 minutes your legs start to hurt. I used a cooler in front of the chair to put my feet up to make it more comfortable. It's well built, well thought out and the legs/support beams are about half the size of your average camp chair (which also means it's a bit heavier than your average camp chair). Bought this chair to relax at work when not on the phone. It appears to be a very sturdy chair and the crossbars feel solid and sturdy. The backrest isn't as high as the Big Bubba chair I've used before, but feels more solid. It folds up well and can be tricky to get into a suitcase, but it fits in and for the most part fits well. This is a sturdy, HEAVY chair. Hopefully you don't have to walk far to the beach or campsite because the weight will tire you! There is plenty of room to sit, the chair feels very reliable and durable. I love that the armrests are firm when I push them to stand up = they don't bend or flex like other chairs.
