Good but the screw is too short

Overall this is a great cap. However, I can't give it 5 runs because it's a pain to install. First, it doesn't come with a rubber washer to make it waterproof; I removed one from our old soap pump, but other than that you'll have to use plumber's putty. Second, the central screw is short. We have a built in sink and our counters are about 1.5 inches thick. There was about 1/4 inch thread to try and attach the washer and screw to the bottom. When you're working with limited space, it's really…

Pros
  • Meets AB1953 low lead standards
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

End result great / finish not great

I can't give this product more stars for 2 reasons. In short, it's not user-friendly. The nut could not be screwed onto the bolt so tight that it almost felt like it had been ripped off. My dad had to squeeze it in a vise to bend the "lip" around the hole so he could screw it tight onto the stud. for a better grip. The second problem was the metal washer in the kit that didn't have a rubber seal. It took two of us, I held the perforated cap on top and he tightened it from the bottom to make it…

Pros
  • Long 1-5/8" mounting screw for installation
Cons
  • Good but not great

Worked but needed adjustment

Bought these because of the thin bolts (easier to fit my mixed holes) and larger (2") disc size. My granite was drilled by an amateur.. so two overlapping holes where they should be the only ones.and i've done it 3 times so i bought 3 of these.they are good quality and real metal but beware the 1.5" long screw.had to use 3 connecting nuts get and three long mounting screws to fix it because the granite and the sink was too thick.Others also had this problem. They also don't come with rubber…

Pros
  • Anti-corrosion coating
Cons
  • There are nuances
