Exactly as described

I wanted to wait a bit before writing a review to see if it would hold up and I'm happy to report that we haven't had any detachment issues as in mentioned in other reviews. . The product arrived exactly as described and was easy to assemble. Assembly required a rubber mallet, but in my opinion this step only increases the stability of the product. We've used it every day for two months and it stays strong.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • There are issues

Space saving style - looks great

Just what I needed in a bathroom that doesn't have room for an extra towel rail. It is enough that the rack stays in one place when you take a large bath towel from it. Towels and washcloths are no problem. My solution: 6 lb bag of Epsom salts on a tray underneath (we use the product so there's a dual benefit of storage and stabilization).

Connectors Plastic corners

This thing shouldn't cost more than $20. For nearly $52 I expect 100% full metal, easy and quick assembly; something you can disassemble after installation without damaging it. 4 connectors (for top corners) PLASTIC machined to be clad as metal to fit frame. You will need a rubber mallet to hammer it in. WHAT! You will need 2 hex wrenches (one on one end, one on the other) to tighten the bottom rod bolts; However, only one Allen key is supplied (no big deal, luckily I have an extra one)โ€ฆ

Great product but DIFFICULT to install

Fits great in my shower stall to hold wet towels or wet clothes. Assembly requires a lot of force and hammer blows to connect the metal components to the inserts/connectors. It took MUCH more time and accuracy than I expected.2. BEWARE OF SMALL SHARDS OF METAL IN JOINTS RESULTING FROM IMPACT ON METAL COMPONENTS! They stick out of your joints and can INJURE you like small, sharp bits of metal.3. Metal splinters and small pieces of plastic from the inserts clog the joints in some places and leadโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Only available in black

Need a rubber mallet!

Do not assemble this stand without a rubber mallet. A hammer will damage it even if you try to use a bumper to protect the finish. This is a metal plastic insert. The metal literally shaves off some excess plastic as it moves. Assembly requires many hammer blows. About 10 minutes after assembly, I heard one of the plastic connectors in the tube crackle. While that seems like a good thing, that one cheap detail makes everything cheap. I think it should be under $30 as it is disposable. There are

Stylish and convenient towel rail

We needed a stylish, distressed bronze finish towel rail to hold two towels in our master bathroom. I liked the sleek style and it was good value. I am very satisfied with the product we received. The only two things I don't really like are: 1) I was expecting the white tray below to be white ceramic utensils, but it's painted wood. As I wasn't planning on putting wet stuff in the tray it's fine, but I still think ceramic would feel better. 2) It was a bit tricky to assemble as the corners fitโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Can I add something

Very happy with these towel rails. You are strong. Narrow for small spaces. Good side by side. Hang a large towel on a higher bar and a regular bath towel on a shorter bar. The wooden tray underneath works well as a base (as long as the towel doesn't get wet regularly). Bases, alternatively (possibly adding silicone pads to the bottom) work well on the back of the toilet to fit a doppler kit/cosmetic bag or electric shaver, glasses, etc. in a small space. Using two or more of these towelโ€ฆ
