Chrome-plated brass for higher corrosion resistance than regular brass or steel. Lever handle for on/off manual control. Full port flow for higher operating efficiency than standard port. Inline valve for connecting two pipes going in the same direction. Female and male NPT threads for connecting male threaded pipe fittings to female threaded pipe fittings.

Good replacement for ball valve

The valve worked well and was easy to install. I had to wrap the threads with teflon tape 4 full turns to finally get a tight seal with no leaks. The lever turns easily, not too hard and not too loose. I used it to replace a burned dump valve on my 2 year old 5 gallon California Airtools supercharger. The valve seems to be well made.

I'm glad I installed this, I've had to use it multiple times over the years.

I installed this ball valve on my air compressor in September 2016. I am writing this review in January 2020. This valve is installed between the air hose quick connect and the pressure regulator on my air compressor. I set this up for a quick air shut off due to a blown hose or other issue. This valve is very well made and does not leak.

Not suitable for drinking water/fridge line

I bought this to put a shut off valve on the second line of the fridge. This product is not NSF/ANSI certified. This does not mean that it is high in lead, just that it is not certified because it is intended for non-potable water, industrial and other uses. KMBVM-2B is a chrome plated brass mini ball valve. There is a small amount of lead in the brass and the product comes with a California Prop 65 label. Also, the diameter listed is a 1/4" female, not a male thread, so it doesn't fit my 1/4".
