No luck buying new Kinyo product

The rewinder never worked properly from the start. At first, the lid only remained lowered once. I have to hold them down throughout the rewind process. The speed slows down as the rewind progresses and often stops. Sometimes the machine makes strange noises. I'm sorry I bought it. I still have warranty, maybe I can get my money back. This is an annoying and time-consuming problem.

Kinyo UV-520 Single Sided Video Cassette Rewinder

Although this product is no longer made, it works well enough to rewind our old video cassettes. We still have movies and personal recordings that we enjoy watching and this, although fairly slow, rewinds the tapes well enough for us. It doesn't go so fast that I feared the tape would snap if it stopped suddenly. It just rewinds the tape slowly and then slowly stops. It does its job and that's all we need.

Some problems with Kinyo winder

Unfortunately, my Kinyo winder came with problems. Ideally, the cassette should slide in and close smoothly. Closing the door on my rewinder is a little tricky no matter what ribbon I put in it. I also found the Kinyo to be very loud. I remember various rewinds being offered to consumers many years ago. Some of them range from the low price range to the more expensive ranges. This tends to slope below the mid-range toward the low range. On the positive side, it slows down towards the end and…
