Love this set! The polished finish of the handles (knives) is great. I'm a bit disappointed that the sharpener and scissors don't have the same finish. I am very happy with what I got in this kit. All knives are very sharp and beautiful. I've bought a few sets of knives in the past but was very disappointed as they weren't as sharp as I expected and they also lost their sharpness very quickly, I mean after using them once or twice. The knife set was stunning and a steal at this price. Right out of the box, I was amazed to find that the knife block was a solid, solid piece of wood. I really didn't expect that. At this price for a full set of knives and extras, I was expecting chipboard or plastic or something. I'm pleasantly surprised.
