Everything ok with some problems

Basically the device is good. However, there are a few things that made me decide to give it away. First, the small scale does not have a constant value. A scale that wobbles a bit but stays close to the number doesn't bother me. The small scale has a fairly large range in which to move. I struggle to get accurate tenths let alone hundredths. The device is also relatively slow to reach the weight on the scale, so adding more ingredients takes extra time. After all, it shuts down too soon. I…

Pretty good scale, best in the Utensils & Gadgets category

It's not perfect, but it's pretty damn good. Large scales have a very high weight limit, which is great. The bottom one will be more accurate, which is great if you're meticulously measuring salt or similar. Sometimes the device falls asleep in the middle of a crappy dimension, so the occasional shutdown is pretty awful. Other times I measure and make something and then come back to put it away and it's still on. Visibility on # is usually excellent, well lit. However, if you have a large bowl…

Save money on kitchen and dining

Kitchen Aid is known for quality – at least when it comes to kitchen appliances. This kitchen timer, while beautiful as a work of art, is useless as a timer. Using the three (count: 3) buttons is not intuitive. Press any key and reliably nothing happens. My old Radio Shack kitchen timer has 12 buttons. Too bad it's no longer available. The Kitchen Aid timer is extremely poor technology. The people who designed it obviously thought that nothing else would matter if the display was big enough…

Good idea, bad execution

I am an avid cook and analytical chemist - I appreciate a good balance and use it often in my work. I bought this scale over (many) cheaper options because I like the idea of a double scale (if your recipe calls for 1g or 0.5g you won't get a good reading on a 10kg scale) and because they well built looking. Unfortunately built very cheaply. Yes, the weighing pans themselves are metal, but they're not removable, so cleaning them is a chore (seriously, who designs scales like this?). The scale's

Not a bad scale. The design is excellent; Function.

TL; DR: I think it's okay to measure if you don't have OCD. Reason for purchase: necessity for baking and counting calories. I love the design of this scale - two platforms is a great idea and I use both frequently. I love that the weight capacity of both platforms is sufficient to place a bowl on top and tare it to add items that might otherwise roll off the platform. It's easy to use, quick taring, easy switching between grams and ounces. .(I used a chemical scale that weighs in hundredths of
