Everything is OKโ€ฆ. for building materials

I was going to use this for the 4x4 hub but it's only for 3.5x3.5 and nothing else. If it had longer screws it would be pretty good. If it matched the post hub I would give +1 star in each category I haven't used it for square cuts.

Pros
  • Normally all 1/8" lag screw holes are 5mm diameter, but if you need to drill 5.5mm or 6.5mm holes, you can use this tool to drill 5mm holes and then drill them larger with 5.5 or 6.5 mm. a little;
Cons
  • Long stock

Stair angles weren't nearly as good

I purchased this part to help install a cable railing on a stair case. The corners are fixed at 90 and 30 degrees. I would have to make a wedge or other attachment to make it work. In fact, a deviation of just one degree can be seen in a series of straight lines.

Pros
  • This drill guide was specifically designed for horizontal cable railings and 30 degree cable railings;
Cons
  • Repair

Okay, the product is best for building materials

As a deck builder, I thought this would be a useful tool for cable railings. I ended up making my own jig. If you use this you will definitely need to craft a jig to work with it. It takes time to set it up for each hole you drill. The worst I can say about it is that it wasn't designed by someone who knew anything about decks and stairs. There is a hole for 30 degree corners, while all stairs have an angle between 32 and 35 degrees. If you try to use a 30 degree angle to cheat it will be veryโ€ฆ

Pros
  • . This drillers guild offers two methods for drilling holes, the first way is to use the included clamp to clamp the post, the second is if you want the guide rail to do it is able to move more freely on the post, you can clamp two smooth blocks under the drill guide to make drilling holes easier.
Cons
  • I won't say anything
