opens bottles a second or third time

Wow, so much for the small quality. The part that touches under the cover has been sanded unevenly. A bottle opener should be fairly simple. This one is just poorly made. It is often not possible to open a bottle the first time. In contrast, the Milwaukee opener is great. I also have many cheap or even free openers that work better than this one. One wonders why Klein made such a fool of himself.

Not what I expected from Klein

I collect bottle openers because I have a drinking problem. I have a similar bottle opener from an old Milwaukee. The old Milwaukee tool is much stronger. I was disappointed that a brand like Klein's Tools made a flimsy bottle opener and put Klein's name on it. I suggest using a little more steel and charging $10. If someone bought this without knowing your hand tools, they would think your hand tools are junk.

Slightly scratched but very suitable as a gift

They come in a small box and have a small scratch in the area of the metal opener. Klein apparently discards them as tools during production so they aren't "pristine/scratch free". That being said, if you're buying this for an instrument geek, they'll still love it. You will probably buy one for each of them. their toolboxes and their human-chicken lair. It opens my soft drink bottles impressively and the design ensures it grabs most of the cap due to its curvature. Highly recommended!

I ordered 4 of these. 1 for me and 3 colleagues. I would be so embarrassed to give them to them before cleaning. Brand new and they were dirty. The only way to get rid of them was with slime. There was a layer of dirt on each side of these openers. I can't imagine how they arrived in such a mess, other than no one caring what they looked like before shipping. To be honest, they all looked secondhand. Now they work well and look good but I never have to clean the new item I order.

High quality kitchen tools.

For those who are into fine tools, this is the perfect kitchen tool. The bottle opener is made in the USA and has the same pleasant feel as all other Klein hand tools. The workmanship, fit and finish of the instrument is excellent. Even if you don't need a quality bottle opener, this is one bottle opener that's sure to last. The price of the tool is also very complicated. Other bottle openers made by other tool manufacturers usually don't meet the same standards as their higher end hand tools…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Stop mathematician!

Look I bought this just for the name. A Klein bottle is a special topological object - a three-dimensional "volume" that is actually a surface. This is the 3D equivalent of a Mobius strip. The Klein bottle has neither outside nor inside. It can store liquid, but since it's impossible to "seal" a Klein bottle, everything will eventually evaporate. So the whole concept of Klein's bottle opener is something that doesn't make any mathematical sense at all. On top of that, it turns out to be a great

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
