Review on Klein Bottle Opener Tools 98002BT by Trevor French

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stop mathematician!

Look I bought this just for the name. A Klein bottle is a special topological object - a three-dimensional "volume" that is actually a surface. This is the 3D equivalent of a Mobius strip. The Klein bottle has neither outside nor inside. It can store liquid, but since it's impossible to "seal" a Klein bottle, everything will eventually evaporate. So the whole concept of Klein's bottle opener is something that doesn't make any mathematical sense at all. On top of that, it turns out to be a great bottle opener. Correctly sized three-dimensional beer bottles, regular caps. It holds tight and rips off the tip every time. Way better than any I've ever had. So for the price of half a 6-pack, you can open them in style for the rest of your life. And I really hope that the American Mathematical Society will order many of these for the open bar sessions at their annual conference. This is gonna be the funnest of the whole week.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
