Works great but doesn't seem to last long

Works great but takes some time. Most of my work is related to old wood. I can't "unscrew" the bit as it just unscrews. No problem in the new wooden frame. After 4 days of use it is ready for the first sharpening. Average compared to Irwin Tri-Flute or Bosch DareDevil bits. I'll see how it goes.

Pros
  • Fits both 3/8" and 1/2" drill bits.
Cons
  • Not sure

Waste of money!: Power Tool Parts & Accessories

Well, disappointment just isn't what I feel about these beats. Since buying them I have broken 3 shafts and lost a head in the manifold. A rod broke the second time I used the racket. Don't waste your money on this, there are better ones out there. It seems to me that Klein has gone downhill and is no longer making quality instruments.

Pros
  • Unique head shape minimizes vibration when drilling compared to traditional paddle bits.
Cons
  • No performance

Do not use a smaller drill!

I took this to my father to use in a project he was making for me. This is a very heavy, durable drill. Small tools are always well made. However, you have to be a bit careful with this. When my dad used the 3/8" drill, the drill caught him badly and he could injure his wrist if he continued. Then he tried a 1/2 inch drill bit and it worked very well. He said the bit is very aggressive and he likes that factor when drilling 2" wood. So use it with a 1/2 or larger drill or power drill.

Pros
  • The unique design of the cutting head allows you to change the shape of the hole.
Cons
  • Non-Automatic
