Good choice for Atmos!

Great additional Atmos speakers! I added 2 pairs to build my Atmos 9.2 setup and couldn't be happier. Couple Notes: Pay attention to the sizes, these things are big. The location of the cable clamps was an unfortunate choice in my opinion. Depending on where you place the speakers, you can see the ugliness of their connections. I installed them on the ceiling and they sound good.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not sure

Great speakers for home audio

I don't have time to set up the surround back speakers yet, so I'm talking about these speakers and the 'Front Three'. Already they are adding a whole new dimension and I can't wait to finish the setup. One caveat: I have high ceilings (about 12ft) and you really have to play pretty loud to get the full effect. But I still like volume, so it's not a problem. worth your money.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Trade-in

Just great. at Home Audio

Bought two pairs although I didn't have to pay anything as I was able to redeem my American Express points. A pair of R-42 S and my Klipsch floorstanding speakers work in two channels with my Yamaha receiver. Place these two Klipsch R-41SAs on top of each of the speakers facing the ceiling. The other two are connected and placed in parallel with existing Klipsch surround speakers. The sound quality is so clear, crisp and dynamic. The Klipsch R-41 SA's tweeters are amazing. It's worth every…

Great sounding surround speakers at a great price

I've had a 7.2 surround receiver with only a 5.1 connection for the last 4 years. I always had the feeling that I was missing something. I wanted another set of mid-range Klipsch surround speakers, but they're $800 a pair. I spoke to a speaker at Best Buy and he recommended I buy them. As soon as I can afford the surround speakers I want, they can be used as Atmos speakers and I won't waste money. They sound great, we no longer miss events in the movie as the sound is now transmitted correctly.

Great Atmos sound in surround sound systems

I've never had an Atmos system other than one that could play my phone. It really feels like a cinema, with overhead sound, a sound that your ears can identify at a specific 3D position in the living room, but it's actually coming from a different part of the room! Rescuing Private Ryan was simply immersive and Star Wars-like, as if you were in outer space! I installed both pairs (2 front, 2 rear) under the ceiling. First I tried the front pair about 5 feet from the ceiling but there was no…

I'm now a follower of Atmos

Very good speakers if you understand the technology. Again, they are NOT designed for use as surround or rear speakers. They intersect at 150Hz for some reason. If you already have a Klipsch surround sound kit it will surely complete the kit. Think of it this way: on Ice Cream Sunday, if your receiver is a plate, bananas are your subwoofers, your speakers are ice cream, these are your pads. It really gives life to the set. This is your side dish. Get them, get them now, but only if you…

Well, if you set it right

A little upset when I first plugged it in. I'm sitting on a pair of Paradigm Studio 60 speakers that I bought in 2001. Initially, I had a hard time hearing anything close to what the Atmos speakers were supposed to deliver. I drive through the receiver Onkyo TX-NR777. Ran the Accu-EQ setup and still not very impressed. I then found a setting in the speaker section of the "Dolby Enhanced Speaker" setting. This allowed us to adjust the distance from the speaker to the ceiling. Once tuned to my…

Amazing how surround speakers work

I bought two sets of these speakers to use as surround left/right and back speakers in my 7.1 system. I've been using the Polk budget kit for about 10 years and finally wanted to upgrade. Wow! Doesn't matter! Polks sounded good - don't get me wrong, but now I feel like I'm in the big leagues. The range of these speakers is day and night. They offer excellent mids and excellent highs. Highs sparkle in intense action movies! I also upgraded my Sony 15" subwoofer to a Klipsch 12" subwoofer to keep

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Volume
