🔗 Single Speed Chain - KMC 710SL Review

I use this chain on all my fixed gear models, it's a top quality product. I had an issue with the last two chains I received from Amazon. The first chain came in a broken box with the main link missing. The replacement I received was from such old stock that the factory lube dried up and began to oxidize the surface, turning it brown and causing some of the links to stick.

I bought two, one polished and one black. The color of the black version started peeling after the first ride. However, both transmissions work smoothly and silently. They are strong but lighter than standard fixed link chains. KMC uses a strange preservative that needs to be removed before use. I also polished the silver chain with mothers for more shine.

works great, stretches a little quicker than the 510 chain counterpart with no lightening. I have been with them for five years and have replaced the chain after a year of use and mine has only ever broken one and I believe it was on a half link where I installed the wrong iirc. the pedal squeaks and sometimes hits my "light street" sprocket with balls

So I only paid $5 for a $15 necklace. I wanted to decorate my racing bike. I thought I had a killer deal until it arrived. It looks very fragile and light, but works perfectly. However, the painted red trim is terrible. Pages are fine, but there are stains between links at best. This may have been done on purpose as it's a wearable finish, but it looks like the paint ran out halfway through. In fact, I had to check the packaging to make sure it said 'red'. He should have said "barely" red…
