I highly recommend this if you are adopting kittens. With it on and not pre-mixed, it's much easier to cook less or more, keep longer, etc. Works really well when kittens are being weaned and you need to mix cat mash.

KMR is a good choice for raising orphaned kittens. It is nutritionally fully balanced and high in fat. The only bad thing about it is that it can cause constipation in some kittens, but this can be corrected by giving the kitten some Laxatone or a similar anti-hairball remedy which is basically petroleum jelly flavored and will move on.

I ended up with a 36 hour old newborn orphan kitten that was thrown out of the car; Littermates died of a broken neck. The live one cried out in fear for at least a day before I could calm him down using lots of warm KMR bottles, a quiet warm safe place, and a toothbrush mimicking mom's licking. It has gone from dodgy to prosperous, partly because of KMR. Pros: My kitten has grown. Found him in the driveway a week old; He cried all night but we hoped that eventually his mom would take him away... but that didn't happen.
