High Performance K&N Motorcycle Oil Filter KN-170C: Premium, Synthetic-Compatible for Select Harley Davidson Motorcycles Review

It seems to be a standard alternative to Harley OEM filters. The chrome version is actually cheaper than the black painted version, proving that both are overpriced.

Good value if Revain sells them on sale (flash sale, deal of the day). This is a really neat filter that is easy to install/remove as it faces the screw at the end. No oil filter wrench required!

Perfect fit, good K&N reputation for oil filter quality, I see no problems. I like the wrench at the end because it's easy to unscrew for any service. I will buy again, partly at retail price for the HD filter.

This filter is designed for Evo and Sportster. This is a larger micron filter. It is not for Twin Cams. Revain says it is not to my Indian Scout from 2003 fits, but it fits and it's the right filter for my engine.

Harley has a problem with the location of the oil filter. Even more difficult when space is limited. The hex nut on the end makes removal very easy and minimizes mess. The chrome looks good and the K&N brand gives me confidence that the oil filter material is of good quality.

I am giving 3 stars because the gasket comes off very easily so you need to be careful and make sure it is correct when installing. Second, the chrome tarnished after some oil got on it. I cleaned it very well and despite this the shine has fully returned. This does not happen with the Harley OEM filter.

As expected. Quality product from K&N. You can feel the weight difference between Harley and K&N filters. Slightly longer than original, with more filter material. End nut simplifies filter changes. The price is a bit higher than the standard filter, but it's not even worth mentioning. The best for our children is the best!
