Present I am using this with a Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultra Wide 49" screen. On my gaming PC I am using 240Hz for 5120 x 1440 with g-sync enabled on an RTX 3080. That's an insane amount of data! However, using a 3' and 1' cable was the maximum length I could get without flickering. Also note that your computer won't think it's compatible with one Monitor is connected when you switch from this thing.

This displayport switch works great as intended. I've always wanted to share one of the monitor screens between my personal and work laptops. Now I could easily switch my monitor between my work laptop and personal laptop with the push of a button on this DisplayPort switch adapter. As other buyers have noted, USB power from a laptop or monitor is enough to keep it running! Overall I am fully satisfied with this product.

Hooked up my Macbook Pro, initially only had the 24hz option. I had to reconnect it several times and finally got the 165Hz that the monitor can support. Then I tried connecting my desktop PC to it and even after using a few different cables I can still only get 24Hz on it. However, G-SYNC somehow still registers. At this point, it's better to just buy a couple of female-to-female DisplayPort extenders and just swap out the cables manually.

The switch is about the same width, slightly shorter than a credit card and only about 1/2 inch thick. It is very light but looks well made. Switching from computer source to computer source only takes about 2 seconds, and I haven't experienced any picture issues when either source has passed the switch compared to connecting directly to the display.
