KnuKoncetpz 8 Guage Amp Kit

I used this amp kit to power a Lanzar Max 10 ST subwoofer and a 800W Lanzar Vector 2-channel amplifier on a Pioneer FH-X700BT deck, 05' Scion xA to be installed with standard speakers. The kit worked fine. I was happy to see that it came with a wire harness for the power cord and the speaker wire was also a bonus and more than I needed. The subwoofer sounded decent (not top of the line), and the kit made installation easy: I didn't have to run to the store to buy extra parts (I already had…

Pros
  • Car AV Kit
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

The set is normal, some parts are small.

This is a good kit and it will work, but you will need to work on it to make it fit. First, I have to agree with other reviewers that some of the hardware in this kit, other than the cables, is TOO SMALL. For example, the ring terminals definitely need to be larger for the size of the ground and power wire. In my case I also saw that the inside diameter of the ring terminal for the ground wire was not big enough so I had to use a round file to fit it. The fuse holder has holes that are too…

  • So far so good

As always, you get what you pay for

The kit includes everything you need to install a subwoofer and amplifier. However, it's cheap. The power cord is actually 8 gauge (most kits at this price point are NOT the size they advertise), but it's an aluminum core cord, so they're selling it at that price point. RCA cords work, but the connectors are a bit flimsy - the RCA cord has a built-in remote turn-on cord, which is nice. The wire connectors supplied are about average, but the spade lugs intended for use on the power and ground…

4 stars overall, 5 stars for the budget/entry-level solution!

This is the best entry level/all in one kit I could find for my modest installation needs. Other reviews rightly say this is one of the only products at this price point with an accurate wire gauge; Many of the alternatives I've found cheat by using tiny wires with extra insulation. I installed it in my car for a year and everything works great. Left. The RCA's are basic but ok, no issues with noise or faulty connections and as others have said the built in remote cable is a nice touch. Fuse…

Unexpectedly disappointed

Somehow I was suddenly disappointed with the set. I read a lot of good reviews and decided to buy it. I like the RCA cable. But 8 gauge wire is very thin and breaks very easily. In my application, the positive and negative terminals of the amp are close together and I felt I needed a magnifying glass to make sure the wires weren't touching. The plastic of the fuse holder is somewhat brittle and does not secure the power cord; and because the wire is very thin, the hex nut does not hold the wire

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Fading

Exact size but durability will affect

This is my first time buying any amp kit and this kit did the job on my 2001 Ford Expedition. I'm happy with my setup, I just wish a few things were a little different. Not sure if it was me, but I just couldn't get the power cord into the fuse holder grommet, I used it without the grommet. The ground ring connector did not match my 2nd row seat bolts (the bolts were too big). I was lucky enough to find another factory screw attaching the strap to the 2nd row passenger seat that was small…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Well written, don't expect more!

. This worked great for my small needs (class AB Kenwood KAC-7202, 460W, 40A fuse). As they say it comes with a 50 amp fuse. Make sure your amp has no more than 50 fuses (30x2=?). The main power cable is very flexible. The insulation could not withstand the high soldering temperatures, it broke off a few centimeters from the solder, which could easily be wrapped with insulating tape. FOR THE PRICE, this is a big step up in the game of making more noise! I can't talk to the terminals as I used…

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
