More than expected!

The DX3900 is my second digital camera. I just received it and am amazed by the picture quality. My computer is three years old and I recently upgraded to Windows Me. I was concerned about the camera mount and docking station. Everything worked without any problems. I've only used the camera in automatic mode so far, but there's a lot more you can do with the camera. The camera dock costs [dollar amount]. Transfer images in seconds and what a way to keep the DX3900 always charged. I bought a…

Wrong camera - wrong price

I bought this camera two months ago. The photos are of good quality, but the battery life is terrible. Only one set of pictures (4 or 5) is taken before the battery runs out. I contacted Kodak about this issue and their solution is to have their representatives service it. I paid MORE ($$$) for cameras and docking station. And should that be fixed? He also claims that the camera left in the dock charges the batteries. NOT RIGHT. Their techs said it actually drains the battery if left there too…

Excellent camera, but perhaps not ideal for left-eyed people

The price is definitely right. Do yourself a favor and get at least a 128MB CF card at the time of purchase. At the highest resolution, each image weighs almost 1MB. Also, I would consider either their docking station or a CF flash reader for your computer. This thing can't connect an AC adapter, so you'll be using the battery when transferring images. If you have a laptop, Viking has a good PC card adapter that works great. Another thing I'm considering is a camera lens kit. It's only a 2x…

Great value, great camera

This is my first digital camera and I am very happy with my purchase. This is a big deal when it comes to cameras. I've been using this camera for about a month, everything is fine. Easy to use and offers excellent performance. I also have a docking station which makes transferring photos super easy and there are no battery issues. You also get rechargeable batteries with the docking station. But a word of warning about these batteries - you must charge them for the recommended total time, DO…

It's all about the PRICE!

I received my DX3900 4 days ago and so far I am satisfied. This is my second digital camera. My first Canon Power Shot A50 is still very good at just 1.3MP. Kodak is very easy to use and has a few more features than the old Canon. The price I paid is less than what I paid for a 1.3MP Canon camera two years ago and better than most recent 2MP cameras. I compared many cameras before buying this one. I really wanted Olympus, Canon, Nikon or Fuji, but kept coming back to them. I bought it mainly…

Good first digital camera

After years of using a Nikon 35mm film camera I needed something digital and simple for my wife and I to use for our animals that need a home. I made a mistake right after selecting English. We both know a few words of Spanish so I decided to give it a try. DO NOT DO THIS unless you know the other language well. The installation went well, all menu items and on-screen instructions are in Spanish. We barely knew enough Spanish not to erase what we were trying to keep. Later we removed all that…
