The best Kodak camera for amateurs

I have had this camera model for 10 years and I really like it. Too bad Kodak discontinued it and I was glad I was able to get another one as a gift for my brother. The best small digital camera for amateur and advanced digital users. Video and close-ups are clear and excellent.

Pros
  • Delicious feeling
Cons
  • Crumpled

Regular camera suitable for digital cameras

I was disappointed that the battery was not rechargeable lithium. (I didn't read the product description carefully enough). So far the photos I've taken aren't as good as my little Casio, but that may be because I haven't explored all the settings yet. I haven't seen the battery live yet. But now I have both cameras.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Discontinued model

Better than my cell phone.

I bought this in 2009 for only $100 and it was a bumpy ride. Initially I was amazed by the universal settings, zoom and image quality. Then the camera decided to go crazy - it didn't turn on, it didn't turn off - it decayed. I postponed it for a year. On a whim I tried again and it behaved normally - same storage, same battery, same charger. It still works, but now the flashbulb is stuck in the "down" position and I can't open it. In short, if it works, then this camera is fine. It's just…

There are better cameras.

I got this camera to pair with my existing dock after the camera that came with it became damaged. This one was fine for the first week or so, but then the batteries started draining MUCH faster than "normal" and used special batteries that needed constant charging. We had to buy extra batteries which were a bit more expensive and get an extra car charger. Pretty impractical if the battery only lasted a few hours with sporadic use. The build seemed cheap and the camera eventually died out of…

Didn't turn out as well as I hoped

Sorry I didn't read the reviews before buying the camera. When I got it and found that there was no viewfinder, I thought of course it doesn't matter. In my case, a viewfinder is essential. If I was in the shade, taking pictures on the screen would be fine, but in bright sunlight I couldn't see the screen well enough to take good photos. Scaling - and that's true - images often became very blurry, even when the subject was not moving. The camera was very light which made me feel like it wasn't…

Decent camera for the price

Personal benefits: 1) Great shots in the right light 2) Amazing zoom! I took pictures with ISO settings from about 100 meters away at a concert and they came out sharp. 3) Lightweight and portable. 4) Image stabilization works beautifully. Of the 400 shots taken outside of the city, only two turned out to be blurry. 5) The button makes it easy to retract and reopen the flash. Personal Cons: 1) Indoor shots can sometimes be dark, even with flash. The old camera didn't have this problem. My…

So far so good for digital cameras

I bought this refurbished Kodak camera from Revain. I know there are cameras with more megapixels but I needed a good zoom. I live in the mountains and we have a lot of wild animals. They're usually a reasonable distance away though, so you'll need a good zoom to get good shots. However, this seems to work fine. The only problem I have is the long time it takes for the zoom to focus. Sometimes he seems to be looking for a topic to focus on and that drives me crazy. I know I skip keyframes as…
