Sophisticated tip width and excellent ink flow

I've been using them for years. Architectural design and freelance drawing. Wonderful. Ink flow is accurate to dot width. Used them on mylar and various papers. The best! They should be well cared for, cleaned after use and stored properly.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I use this pen tip in my journal/daily planner!

I have used x-ray pens with different color rings and caps (for different color codes and inks) for many years (1991). I love these pens, this size clogs less and has a very fine line (to fit in small areas, with light ink colors). Pen tips wear out over time and need to be replaced. but they will last for years if you clean them regularly! They require some maintenance (regular cleaning before refilling ink), but it's worth it! I bought an ultrasonic cleaner a few years ago to clean them…

Excellent professional pens

As an illustrator I have been using these pens for over 30 years. They were well designed and stood the test of time. The tips are interchangeable and each pen has a refillable cartridge. Some maintenance is required to keep them in good condition. I used to soak my glasses in ammonia, but there's also a cleaning kit. I mainly used inks, but I also used colored inks. Everything worked fine. Tips come in a variety of sizes, from a thick line to a very thin line. You can buy a whole pen and add…

Pros
  • Easy to replace
Cons
  • Expensive

Great tip, but... Be careful when cleaning!

The worst thing you can do is let the ink in these types of pens dry. So be a good pen owner and keep it clean (or use ink that won't dry on plastic/metal parts). I highly recommend NOT disassembling this pen or any of the smaller ones if you can help. If you can maintain it regularly, just put it in detergent to soak it up a bit and use a ball syringe to clean it. When you take it apart completely, be VERY CAREFUL not to bend the tiny wire that goes into the pin! Too late? Then do your best to

Pros
  • Includes color coded size ring
Cons
  • old
