💦 KOHLER K-2196-1-0 Pennington Self-Rimming Bathroom Sink, White, 1.38 Inch Review

Sink looks good. It's well made, like many Kohler products. Best of all, the rim slopes inward, allowing water to run down the sink instead of just pouring onto the vanity. Since this fall, installation has been easy.

The rim of this sink is scalloped, resulting in a gap where it meets the countertop. My countertops are granite and flat, but there is a noticeable gap in front of the sink and a few other spots. If I hadn't already cut out the countertop for the sink I would be sending the sink back. My only option is to live with it.

Excellent sink. I discounted because the first one I received (Revain stock offers) was defective (some ceramic work wrong) but the second one was perfect. It's cheap and easy to install. The notch is too big but it will work. It can sit more stably if you cut a right size hole. I ended up filling it with silicone, but in hindsight I would have made the hole smaller.

Overall, I really like the 2 washbasins. But the manufacturer has to make sure they match the level of your countertop. Each sink did the same thing - they wobbled because they weren't quite level. But a good plumber can fix them eventually. It would just be nice if they were on the same level. But like I said, I really like the sink in general. It's beautiful, easy to clean and has just enough surface area to hold a soap bottle so you don't have to run your wet hands across the countertop.

No problems with this sink. It arrived well packaged and undamaged, easy to install and looks great! The icing on the vitreous china was immaculate, the sink is symmetrical and well finished, and the separate faucet and sink I installed fitted without drama. I mention all those seemingly standard things that one would expect, as it seems you are not always guaranteed a reasonable level of quality and functionality in your purchases these days.
