Note that the dimensions in the directions don't really take into account the different depths of the posts. Therefore, note that within a 2x4 wall, it is best to mount the valve on a 3/4 inch thick backboard, especially if you are installing for a thin wall scenario, e.g. B. a shower enclosure with a straight rod.

We purchased this valve body along with many other Kohler plumbing and kitchen items for renovation. This item had a defect that prevented hot water from flowing through the valve normally. We replaced it with the exact same item and no more problems.

Used as part of a total bathroom renovation. The valve works great. Smooth operation without temperature fluctuations. Kohler currently sells the very best bathroom equipment. I used to have Moen but they've started using a lot of plastic in their parts. The more plastic, the more likely it is to fail over time.

This valve was purchased from Revain as it was recommended with a Kohler Bancroft shower head and faucet. The package was missing parts so I contacted Kohler and they sent me a part but I didn't realize other parts were missing. Kohler is tricky to work with, but luckily my plumber was able to fix it. Make sure you check the package for all parts before installation!

Very confused as to which valve I need for the Kohler TOOBI TS8978-4-BN Rite-Temp shower valve trim I printed out all the Kohler valves and showed them to my plumber. He chose this one, which was also the easiest and cheapest option to work with our disguise kit. Very happy with the price (much cheaper at Revain than elsewhere) and the installation went smoothly.

If you've ever showered and the water temperature fluctuated wildly due to dishwashers, washing machines, ice makers or toilet flushing, here's the answer. Changes the pressure of hot and cold water when one of them suddenly loses pressure and keeps the water temperature several degrees. Works very well.

Our buying and shipping is great so no problem. However, Kohler is a brand that I would like to avoid buying in the future. Compatible trim kits for this valve are very poorly designed, lack internal structures (supports) to prevent inevitable leaks, and their after-sales service may be less helpful, but it would take too much effort. Warning. The instructions are incorrect measurements. Unlike other shower valves, this valve is designed to be attached to the shower wall. It doesn't have well-placed mounting holes to securely attach it to a frame without mounting it on a wall. The instructions clearly show these holes at Ø4.5" and the drilled hole at Ø4.0". So I drilled a 4.0" diameter hole and found to my surprise that the screw holes fit nicely into this hole. It turns out that the screw holes are Ø3.5 inches apart. I'm…
