I liked the nylon cover

Lettering on both sides There is a tab on both sides and the item feels high quality. I wouldn't trust it with a 10ft drop, but it's great for non-commercial work or when you know you won't drop it. Functionally it surpasses any other tape measure I have used and if it were metal it would be ideal for commercial use but for the price it is better than what is sold in name brand department stores.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Breaks too early at 7ft

Needs to be upgraded to a solid measuring tool that broke at 9ft to build the frame and basement. Tried this brand believing it would add 'cooler' features that other brands might not have thought of. Unfortunately, this tool didn't have all of that. It has excellent self-locking, double-sided lettering, bright colors, and a good form factor. But ultimately, an early turning point forced me to go back and use a Home Depot 25-foot-wide Milwaukee blade.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things

Good concept, poor quality

The title says it all. That's a great concept. You pull out the duct tape and it stays where you pull it out, unlike the Stanley guys who fight you when you try to retract the blade! This comelon is too weak and therefore its excellent results are depressing, especially in light or strong winds. When on a boom lift or ladder, or holding on with one hand, it is usually necessary to be able to clip onto the hook to measure 11 feet. Not with that.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine gun
