Upgraded DELL Inspiron 1545 - all 8GB ready

I ordered this as I saw reviews that it (SoDimm 800MHz 2x 4GB) would work with my old 1545. I replaced HD with SSD, Ram from 4GB up to 8GB (and yes it works, even though Dell says 4GB is the max) Computer runs like a charm for $150 SSD + storage, it is hard to beat an upgrade like this. Ubuntu memory report: # lshw -c memory. Removed CPU/cache information. *-Memory Description: System Memory Physical ID: 1000 Slot: Motherboard or Motherboard Size: 8 GB *-Bank: 0 Description: DIMM DDR…

Finding the right RAM for an "old " computer

Finding DDR2 RAM is a bit of a challenge. Computerbay had what I needed - just like that. This particular device came bundled with the 2007 iMac. Although the machine is technically designed for a maximum of 4GB of RAM, it is widely believed that 6GB will work. I ordered an 8GB kit with 2 SODIMMs just in case I can add another 2GB. No, the iMac doesn't boot with 8GB of memory, but running a new 4GB flash drive along with an old 2GB flash drive really made a difference in perceived speed…

Easy upgrade to memory

I bought this product because Komputer Bay has good reviews, a great warranty and is significantly cheaper than similar products. The first set of chips was "delivered" to my address by UPS and left in the neighbors' bushes for 3 days in a hot summer. Needless to say, they weren't working when I received them. Revine quickly replaced the order. The new chips arrived, installed easily and improved the performance of my HP Pavilion dv7-3165dx. I am very satisfied with the quality of the PC2-6400…

Correct RAM Cards for HP Pavilion DV7

I purchased this product for my HP Pavilion DV7 computer. I recommend opening up your computer to make sure the map you are trying to buy matches what is in your computer. The Komputerbay 8GB (2x4GB) RAM cards fit my computer perfectly and were very easy to install. I found a video on Youtube that helped me a lot with the installation. I have attached process photos as no HP dv7 photos were available. After installing the maps, my computer started up with no problems and it took me multiple…

computers from whom? Who is this!

I have an HP G61-631NR laptop. The HP website states that only 4GB of maximum memory is supported. I decided to run "sudo dmidecode -t memory" on Debian Linux, it replied that the laptop can support 8GB. I hopped on to get these ram sticks to try them out. In the worst case, the laptop doesn't see all of the memory and sends it back to Revain as an incorrectly ordered item. The storage works as expected and I am using the laptop they are in to write this. For DDR2-800 they are very responsive…

Works great, but my early 2008 iMac only supports 6GB.

I have to give 5 stars here because of the best price, fast shipping, good packaging and that both modules really work. Unfortunately, I didn't bother to do my homework and it turns out that my early 2008 iMac doesn't support 8GB of RAM. Although Apple says it only accepts 1 or 2GB modules, a 4GB module will work if only 1 module is installed. iMac owners check this page to see what your :p:[.] supports. There is a link on this page to help you identify your model. UPDATE: It turns out that the
