This is a great over the anchor device if you are a solo climber and use the Clove Hitch "Silent Partner” (Rock Exotica) to cushion the fall and slow speed to avoid straining the spine break. Cable. One of the best things I've seen (and always had) in years

I've returned to climbing for my sons. We use trees because there aren't many rocks in Florida. Now they can easily be removed from the game. But if you find yourself on a static lane and find yourself falling like a rock (for whatever reason), you need to slow down at least a foot or two before you whiz. I don't understand why the product description says it can't be used more than once. If it protects you from shock loads over 4G, you really shouldn't stress it if you fall on it. I bought it as a reusable "screamer" for via ferrata hikes. So far I have not tested this with Cairnmantle climbing rope. I tried 1/2" heavy duty braided nylon rope.
