Great idea, disappointing use of materials

I lost my original Koss headphones which are made from the same material used in noise canceling ear buds. They handled background noise well and gave off a clean, dense sound. The big advantage was that I used them with my closed motorcycle helmet. I was able to listen to music or books on tape during my 2.5 hour drive to work (yes, 2.5 hours Monday morning and Friday afternoon). Replaced a lost pair with these and what a bummer. The foam just expands. And they're a bit slippery, so they're…

I love the sound quality from Koss!

Koss Pathfinder or Koss The Plug They are both great in terms of depth of sound (good bass), durability, comfort and materials of construction. Pathfinder added a volume control, which is useful when I'm running various personal errands around town, but it's so far away on a long cord that it sits on my lap, which is uncomfortable, and if I don't remember, when I'm seated (e.g. on the subway) the volume switch goes astray. Eventually it becomes useless to me (or breaks) and I tape the lever to…

Great in-ear headphones and consistently very good

I've been using the KOSS Pathfinder for a couple of years and before that a slightly simpler version. The latest PATHFINDER seems to fit the ears better than before. So I was just shocked. I have used studio headphones on the TEAC 501 which I recently reviewed and the quality of both is excellent and comparable. I plugged the headphones from this purchase into my Streamium at home and the clarity is excellent, but what struck me was that as soon as I plugged in the new set it was CRYSTAL CLEAR.

Pros
  • Little competition
Cons
  • unreliable

Good headphones! best in ear headphones

I bought these for my Asus TF700 tablet instead of Pioneer1 on ear headphones. They work very well, sound very good! But you need to adjust the equalizer accordingly to make them sound the way you want them to! Not bad comfort! I love the fact that they are in the earcups because you get the best sound from the earbuds in your ear canal and not the earbuds that just sit in your ear and pop out slightly! But still, if you apply more force to them, you'll blow your ears! I'm actually afraid to…
