Suitable for NASCAR racing

I have used these with my scanner at NASCAR races. It definitely cancels out the noise, but it could be a lot better. The same applies to the volume. I had to buy an audio amplifier to use them to get better sound from them. I use them mostly in Daytona so there are pauses between passing cars, but if it were a short route I think it would be difficult to hear everything the lookouts are saying on the radio due to the constant noise of the cars. The cable is too long and annoying. Not…

Pros
  • One entry, 2.4m coiled cord
Cons
  • Almost never

Solid sound, solid noise insulation, solid all round.

In my 20+ years of music, I've changed a lot of headphones. I was usually fine with them, not writing much. They force sounds into my ears and block out sounds I don't want. I had the Vic Firth version and although my bowler hat is obscenely large, they still fit well. They sounded good, nice and smooth but of good quality and didn't let any noise through. These banks cost? Blows Vic Firths out of the water. The volume control is amazing, the cable is the perfect length, comes with a spare…

Pros
  • Stereo/Mono switch for added flexibility
Cons
  • Some Difficulties

Suitable for in-ear headphones radio DJs

half. Even though they are designed for use in metal detectors, I have to say that they definitely serve me very well. I'll list the pros and cons very quickly: PROS: The EQ is pretty flat so monitoring vocal levels becomes pretty easy and clear. The sound/noise canceling is actually very good and when I hold both ear cups on my ears I am completely isolated from any outside noise. (I usually take air breaks with just a cup in my ear). I LOVE the volume control on the ear cup. When speaking…

Pros
  • neodymium magnet structure ensures excellent clarity and clarity
Cons
  • poorly designed

Good sound reproduction. Good acoustic insulation. Good price.

My favorite headphones were the Koss Pro4AA which I bought circa 1972. I've been looking for a real replacement for a long time. I tried Koss Pro4AA Titanium and was very disappointed. Firstly, because they have very poor acoustic isolation despite fitting snugly against the earpiece. I've also tried a variety of wired and wireless headphones. The best I found was the KLIPSCH R5 neckband unit, which also falls short of the isolation requirements. All of which brings me to the Koss QZ-99. This…

Pros
  • Volume control on earcup makes it easy to adjust volume
Cons
  • Expensive

Passive noise canceling headphones.

Love these headphones and this is my second pair. I don't remember exactly what happened to the first ones. No pros, no cons, these are big headphones, for me that's normal, but for others they might be too big. Pros: - Solid construction - Passive noise cancellation - Comfortable - Good long cable. Cons: - not as loud as one might expect (if they weren't good at passive noise cancellation this would be a bigger issue, they're loud enough for me, but if you expect big sound from big headphones…

Pros
  • Ideal for use with racing scanners and metal detectors
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
