Breaks easily! for power and hand tools

I use these Kreg bits every day in my carpentry shop. We often have to change them because the tip breaks. Seems like they're a little more durable considering the price!

Pros
  • Also works with K5, K4, K3, R3, Mini and Foreman
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Replacement bit for power and hand tools

I like the newer 1/4" hex bits. I've found that last time I sent bits in for regrinding, singles weren't very profitable are. If one of them gets boring, I'll send 4 and sit down for a few years. Will Creg put a 1/4" hex on old bits while they're being sharpened?

Pros
  • Step drill bit for making pocket holes with barrel hole tool
Cons
  • Some cons

Better quality than fakes for not too much money

My original Kreg drill bit broke the tip while drilling a Kreg pocket hole a few years later. I already bought a fake just in case I'm going to use a fake for a week or so needed Revain to provide a new Kreg beat. The fake worked pretty well, but when the Kreg replacement head came out, the fake was put back in stock. The Kreg bit is much sharper and cuts a cleaner hole. It's always good to have a "plan B".

Pros
  • Direct replacement for the drill bit included in the 320, 310 Keg pocket hole tool
Cons
  • Not automatic

They do a great job but are boring and will break with prolonged use.

I had to order a pair at a time because I know from experience they tend to break when they start to get a little boring.I'm on a hardwood project and don't want to be halfway there and have to take 1 break and wait for a new one to ship.I wish they could make a more durable drill bit that doesn't work won't dull anytime soon, but then not as many replacement bits will be sold, so I don't expect that.

Pros
  • Easy to apply markers for 1/2", 3/4", 1 1/2" materials
Cons
  • So-so

Need a replacement for power tool parts and accessories

Just what I needed Buy a spare drill bit too as Murphy's Law states Murphy has the right to trying to break off the end of the drill while making holes in pockets if you are drilling something (e.g. making holes in pockets) you are an amateur, the price of a replacement bat is cheap compared to that of your child or someone explaining to others that the project is on hold while you drop everything and try to find and buy another club while Murphy sits in your workshop laughing at you and…

Pros
  • 1/4" hex shank fits quick change drill chuck
Cons
  • Not as thick as other cutting tools
