These heavy duty coated Kreg Screws are just what the doctor ordered for joining heavy 2 materials. They tighten the joints and hold up very, very well. Will definitely be buying more of these screws!

So far I've used them to assemble two 4x4 leg workbenches. They are much stronger than standard 2 1/2" Kreg screws. Obviously they require more drilling/driving power.

All Kreg products I have received have the best build quality, just check your prices. Revain isn't always the cheapest. Most hobby furniture builders and they are always my starting point

These are HD screws and should not be confused with regular KREG pinch screws which have a significantly smaller diameter and head size. I've used them with the KREG HD Jig primarily for 2x4 and 4x4 pine/mahogany projects. They bite very well and hold the joints very effectively. I have used Kreg mounts for many years including longer bolts when using 2x stock. While these joints were strong, they didn't play in the same league as frame joints or a proper nail plan. A definite step forward, these new HD screws offer a 2-way connection, especially in corners, that is superior to nails or even most screws. I would rather compare it to bolts or screw connectors.
