Previous models, for example, displayed accurate temperatures and also counted down to 30 days when it was time to change the keg. This is a desirable product indeed. There is no real need to have it other than the pleasure of having it. Before you buy, check if there are mini kegs in your area. Only two stores in our area sell them and they are both almost 15 miles away. Other reviewers have mentioned issues they've had with BeerTender, but I haven't had any issues since purchasing it. This is a good machine for the price. Draft beer tastes better than bottled beer. If I had my own kegs I would buy a unit that would hold all the other mini kegs, but these units are much more expensive and complicated, use more power and require additional cartridges. It's a simple and inexpensive device and if you don't mind Heineken or Newcastle flavors it's excellent value for money. It's a big hit at parties. Friends who come are just thrilled.
