Where has this scrub been all my life?

We had a translucent vegetable peeler that we kept "losing” because it chameleoned onto the counter. So we bought this peeler because it was red, but never expected to find peeling nirvana. This knife is so easy to use that it puts others we have had over the years to shame. Now we can prepare kiwis by peeling very thin skin, leaving a lot more fruit. We couldn't do that with any of our other cleaners. It has a finely serrated blade which I think helps with control, and the harp shape and…

Pros
  • Serrated stainless steel blade cuts into smooth, fluffy skin and peels it off in thin, smooth strips
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Not Switzerland - Communist China

Contrary to what others have said prior to sale, this straw cutter is NOT made in Switzerland. It is made in communist China. If country of origin is important to you, you deserve to know, and Revain should be doing more for its customers in that regard. Many of us are not interested in buying a product whose PR headquarters are in Switzerland but whose product is manufactured in a labor camp in China. If we care enough about buying fair trade coffee or organic chocolate, then we should care…

Pros
  • Hole in handle for easy hanging
Cons
  • Large and bulky

How do I remove plastic?

I used this knife for the first time this morning and found that it actually releases from plastic very well. X. I used a knife to scrape off the protective layer in the middle, but I wait for the dishwasher to heat up for the rest. It seems to clean oversized swedes and turnips fairly well, even with a protective coating. The handle was easy to hold. My old vegetable peeler, which still works, has a wide, short handle, but I wanted something that put more distance between me and the veggies…

Pros
  • The plastic handle is ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip
Cons
  • There are bugs

It's all about the tools.

I've always said and explained to my children and grandchildren that the right tool can make a task easy or enjoyable, and the wrong tool can sabotage it altogether your efforts. This scrub is a perfect example. I ordered it because the other two I have just don't give me the ease of use I want. I rarely use it for a giant squash, but today I found the perfect use: broccoli. I'm the kind of person who prefers stems to flowers, although peeling the stems has never gotten me to the "just right"…

Pros
  • Horizontal blade peels smooth-skinned fruits and vegetables quickly and easily
Cons
  • So far so good
