Works as expected, instructions help avoid problems

Product works as expected. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the lack of instructions on how to connect the cable to the RPi. There is only one way to connect the cable to the T-Cobbler, but there is no indication of how to connect it to the RPi. In fact, it happens that you always get 5V on the top right pin, even if you hook the cable wrong. This adds to the confusion. I even damaged the temp sensor assuming it was connected correctly (based on some info on the internet). After burningโ€ฆ

Upside down but can be flipped!

According to a number of reviews, this component is upside down. The first picture is misleading as this is NOT a T-Cobbler Plus but a generic brand. A key difference (and the image here is correct) is that the notch in the tee is on the wrong side of the actual tee component. The cable only enters the tee in one direction due to the cut in the tee and the raised plastic in the cable connector. When the Raspberry Pi is in a case, the cable will only fit one way, as the raised plastic in theโ€ฆ

It works, but the loop is in the way. IMHO back.

The ribbon cable connector is the wrong way around in my opinion. Can be replaced with either cable or breadboard adapters. The cable is keyed so it can only enter the breadboard adapter one way. But both ends of the ribbon cable will route the ribbon back to the breadboard. When you place pins on a breadboard, you end up having to hold the cable. It's nice to have pins on a ribbon cable. That's why I chose this particular product.

  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Vulgarity

It's cheap and works, but works the other way around

For $8 this is a great product, especially if like me you're just starting out and are investing in a few different parts just to play around with. However, the ribbon cable is crimped back, making it a bit awkward to use. Judging by the photo, it turned out not to be beautiful. Also, I realized that a small breadboard has very little space when it comes to adding sensors and components, so I ended up buying an additional board that is longer. Anyway, I also realized that it's good to haveโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Some bugs

This product is already working. I had two problems at the beginning. 1) One end of the cable has not been blocked. I attached it with some super glue. 2) Had to use a voltmeter to make sure it was properly connected to the Raspberry Pi. The direction of the button on the cable shows backwards because the cable sticks out over the breadboard and over the Pi. Inside the box was a card offering a discount on a future order provided by an objective review. I contacted them to get a discount codeโ€ฆ

Don't repeat my mistake. Really mediocre product offering.

I should have done more homework but I was lazy and in a hurry. For a board that is half length and the breakout is too wide, this was definitely one of my saddest purchases. See my Uctronics GPIO Breakout Review for the best solution. minuses. (-) GPIO breakout board is too wide (see photo compared to competitors) (-) Short breadboard is not suitable for any real projects because the breakout board takes up too much space. (see GPIO photo above breadboard) There are no pluses here. I am notโ€ฆ
