My bike has a charging connector. Disconnect the charger and connect the cigarette lighter cable. I wrapped the connector under the sensors with a coupler. I use the USB port to run maps on my phone. A NOTICE. I already had a fusible link in the charging cable to the battery line. So if you don't have it, you need to add it.

This extension saved my life when my Goldwing blew out and I had to inflate a tire just enough to fit my bike in my trailer. This worked well on a trip where the cold weather at night required my tires to be pumped up a bit. The extension allowed me to do this with the bike's battery/electrical system.

I have to say the workmanship of this socket extender is better than I expected. The wiring is heavy, heavier than I expected, and the terminations, both SAE and socket, are very professional. It is indeed an extension cord and there is no circuit protection, but in my case the SAE cable that I am going to connect this extension cord to has a built in fuse. Very happy with it.

This was purchased to connect to my recently purchased 12 volt battery charger. I wanted a 12V source to power my electronic signal generator. My purchase was based on the second thumbnail in the photo, which shows a 2-pin SAE connector with the correct polarity: the red (+) wire goes into a molded socket. What I received was the opposite polarity: see 4 photos. The red (+) wire connects to the pin. NOT RIGHT!

Good product. but I wanted to connect it to the battery cable I installed on my bike. to a bad better tender only rated for a 7.5 amp fuse. I need to add a heavier harness that can handle a larger fuse so I can use the Airheads inflator to inflate the airbed. I didn't realize it needed that much power but it is tripped by a 7.5 amp fuse and is under the seat. But back to the product. It looks solid and well made, so no problem.

I replaced the dual USB socket on my motorcycle with this cigarette lighter socket. The USB socket kept dropping out so I figured a cigarette lighter would work better and I was right. The problem with the USB style is that they always draw current, so you have to connect them to the ignition circuit. The cigarette style is easier because you can plug it directly into the battery with a fusible cord and it doesn't draw power unless you have something plugged in. I use it to power my handlebar…
