They are so cool. A week later, I realized that one of the BB-8s was actually an attack aircraft, but that made it even more impressive.

Misleading product, waste of money resulting in very disappointed children, think twice before ordering this item! (Not worth a star!)

Light up as big as the tip of my thumb. They should be described as micro-mini. And they are two dimensional like flat and not three dimensional like all other string lights. The description should include a few extra details to be more specific. i give them back

I read all the reviews before purchasing so I knew exactly what I was getting. Good point: it works :) The light is bluish. I use it as a night light for my boys and they are glad it's bb8. bb8s are tiny, the cable is stiff and it's impossible to turn all the robots to the same side. The plastic box with batteries looks very cheap, I hope it lasts at least for a while.

So, firstly, they're flat and not three-dimensional. I was expecting this when I looked closely at the photos. Second, BB8 is about a quarter the size at its largest diameter. The picture is clear and they look metallic so I'll give that a plus. The battery cover constantly falls off, so there is another minus. So first of all, as others have said, BB8s are not 3D. You are 2D. One side is BB8 and the other side is plain white. The strand is a wire so you can make sure they are all pointing in the same direction. I wanted to use it as a night light so I hung it on my kid's bunk bed so my son could see the light downstairs and it wasn't in the way of my older son on the top bunk.
