My first one stopped working after just a day but I contacted the seller and he quickly replaced the product. It's the perfect size and looks great on the little tree I put up this year. It might be too small for more traditional tall trees, but for the 3ft tree I use it on it's absolutely perfect and gives a good amount of light too.

This is a great bright well made star for little money. I'm disappointed that many gave it low ratings for being "smaller than expected". It's up to you, the consumer, to make it very clear how big it is before you buy it. In general I am very satisfied. Does it look like a $50 topper? Of course not. That's why it's such a price. Other reviewers said it didn't work out of the box, but I took a chance. Well, mine didn't catch fire after being popped right out of the box! Came with a small packet of pears and a fuse. So I opened up the fuse box at the plug and found TWO fuses were required (only included one extra) AND they wouldn't come out. After playing around with it for a few minutes trying to get it out, I thought, Am I doing this? That's BS!” Return for a quick refund.

We brought this because our current star top died a few days before Christmas. We couldn't have any Christmas tree decorations on Christmas morning! So this star arrived almost before Christmas. My old one had died which was gold and I was shorted out for years during the 2018 holiday season. This Kurt Adler star is pretty good and just right for a 7.5 foot tree. I'll confess I liked the GE version better, which I've credited to Lowe, but it's intended for a taller tree.
