I had high hopes as this product would be very useful to me. It arrived quickly and in good condition. The product was easy to install at first, but unfortunately it didn't work as advertised. When installed, the plastic retainer makes minimal contact to keep the fuel filler door closed. There is no obvious adjustment and nothing in the fit guide. This is disappointing as it needs to be as tight as an OEM key lock.

In stock I have found that this aftermarket gas door latch does not actually grip or hold the gas door closed. When driving briskly on the road, the air pressure from below actually "floated" the gas flap open while driving. I disassembled the latch and widened the groove where the set screw/latch pin goes to prevent the latch from popping out and this allowed it to protrude a few millimeters more.
