it works: Writing needs and corrections

I was very lucky with dollar sharpeners, but not with my prisms. I waited to check them out and eventually found myself confused by the ease of sharpening. even my prisms seem to skim this process. No fight, no mess, no break. They just twist in the sharpener and come out sharp. not used to it. I use Marco Ruffin, Scientist's Prism and finally Prisms. I didn't understand the long sharp point on the prism, preferring the short sharp squeak. I can't believe they aren't fighting grinders. I keep…

Prismacolor Saving Grace

Finally a sharpener that sharpens my Prismacolor Premier pencils easily and efficiently without breaking the tip. I find setting 2 gives short nibs with great nibs for my Prismacolor pencils. The tip is too long and the core tip clicks with little to no pressure. T'GAAL sharpeners do a great job of sharpening soft leads without cutting too much of the pencil. I can finally color my work with a sharp point, and often undermine it, without fiddling with pencils at great speed. Inexpensive but…

I leave this on the "1" setting (the sharpest corner that sticks out the least) when sharpening project pencils. This keeps the tip of the pencil sharp and less likely to break. I keep one in several of my toolboxes and belts and have reordered 3 more times so I always have a few…

Don't eat your pencil!

This is the second time I buy this sharpener. I had the first one for about a year before the blade became noticeably dull. I LOVE this sharpener and will always have it. It won't corrode all of my expensive crayons which means they last longer! A twist or two in this bad boy and you have a nice sharp point for pencil detailing. I also like the adjustable tip size. When working with a softer pencil I choose smaller tips so they break less, and with a harder pencil I prefer setting 3 or 4. There
