Great for snowboarding

I bought these because I'm a beginner snowboarder and spend a lot of time falling on my bum. They are definitely important. The first time I went without them I came home with a few bruises on my thighs, but since putting them on I haven't had any more bruises. They are not too bulky and are easy to manoeuvre. The cushion inserts didn't get wet at the end of the day, which was a plus. I'm a 5'3" female and weigh 130 pounds and the size S fits my snowboard pants perfectly.

  • Skates, Skateboards and Scooters
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Comfortable but much thicker than some others

I bought a pair as a second pair to another set of snowboard pants. They are very comfortable and I like that they don't have velcro but fasten with a drawstring. However, the padding is very thick, which can be both a plus and a minus. They definitely protect your tailbone, but they are by no means inconspicuous under snowboard pants. Great pants, great protection, very comfortable but your butt looks lumpy.

Pros
  • Padded shorts
Cons
  • Expensive

Very handy for snowboarding. Size can be an issue.

I bought this to help my butt after just learning to snowboard. Normally ski pants are worn in large, so I ordered this product in large. It was a little loose when it arrived but still very helpful. Since I liked the padding, I ordered a size M, but it's a bit tight. Maybe it stretches a bit after use, but now the big one, even if loose, seems more comfortable. In any case, the padding is well done and offers sufficient protection in the event of falls on the back. Trust me I took quite a bit.

Short style free hockey. Get a short bike fit for better protection.

Size M was too big for a 5'7" female weighing 130 pounds. This is a loose style of hockey shorts that slides around. I want the padding where it needs to be if I fall. As described, the thigh padding is a bit thicker, but the tailbone is not very protected. (see photo). This foam is also fully compressible, so you'll feel the impact. I also got a short version of the Ohmotor bike that uses denser foam and I didn't feel the impact (hit by a family member while crouching hard on the ground) in my
