The buckle is too big and bulky for my 4.5 year old. My girl fell on her stomach while skating and sustained serious injuries and bruises because of the large buckle. This soft protection is not intended for children. It's not worth it.

Bought for my 4 year old daughter who is starting to skate. She fell on her tailbone in the park and was in great pain. She was afraid of falling while skating, but it gave her confidence. When she fell, she never pretended she was in pain. Be sure to try it out for your kids.

They protect my kids' backs so well when skateboarding and snowboarding that I wish they were a size bigger for me. The first time he put it on he was a little embarrassed putting it on. Then, after falling and not hurting himself, he became addicted and didn't care what other people thought.

I wish this pad had a more adjustable size range. My boy is 8 years old and has big bones. I'm not sure how many of you know people with thicker bones, they usually struggle with their weight. This type of specialty product is more useful for people who weigh more than their height or age. In short, it doesn't fit. I still had to use it.

This is great protection. My kids just started ice skating lessons and it saved them from a few hard beginner falls. It's not too bulky, well padded, and is easy to put on and take off (great for back-to-back workouts).
