This may work well in fresh water, but nothing holds up in salt water after spending the whole day in salt fog all day. Stick to salt lines.

This product is great. This allows the fenders to be placed anywhere on the side of the boat rather than having to attach the fenders to the stud locations. Highly recommended, especially if the side of your boat is low in the water.

Bought expecting failure, cheap enough to throw in the bin. NOT the case, it works fine. This coating was applied to the gelcoat at the water's edge in 2001 and is 15 years old. For the past 6 days, the bumpers have slammed overboard onto the water at full throttle a few times. They stay down. It's worth buying a few more before the market takes hold and the price doubles!

I thought this product would be a great item for quick deployment of my fenders, used it on the dock recently and when I came back my fenders and suction were gone and lost deep down the Restaurant embankment, I assume from constant rubbing against the pier the suction did not hold well and now they have lost both the suction belt and the wing. Well, lesson learned, suckers aren't worth it

I was concerned reading some of the reviews but I'm so glad I decided to buy it! You've done a great job for us. I needed our wings to be higher than the spikes would allow. These straps protect our new boat without damage or modification. I bought some contour fenders to replace our original round fenders. These straps hold the fenders I bought with no problem! Definitely recommend getting some of these!

They "seem" to stick VERY well but fall off after a while. Every time I used them I got off my boat. When I come back, my wing levitates away with a suction cup attached! I'm not blaming the product itself, I assume it's the nature of the suction cups or chalk it up to user error, but they don't hold up the way I do. wants her. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and drill holes in my boat for the spike. Overall I would recommend them to a friend with the caveat that they don't last long…
