Excellent replacement part

I was lucky that after a bit of persuasion and heat the lower stop bolt came out of the first impact unscathed. Check out other reviews on how bad it can be for you. After this step, the rest of the replacement is easy and the hardware fits perfectly (note that the bottom locking bolt is not included). Improvement in 2007. ) It was fantastic.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Slightly cracked

OEM Rear Shocks in Parts

These are identical to the 2007 Fit OEM shocks. The dealer wanted $900, but the do-it-yourself installation is very easy compared to other cars. No need to compress the springs, no need to disassemble the suspension, easy access to the top bolt. Impregnated the lower bolts of the PB Blaster. Use a 2 foot breaker to loosen the bolts and a jack under the spring to relieve the bolt and ease installation. In general, a simple and quite feasible task.

Pros
  • Value for Money
Cons
  • Available in White Only

It appears to be exactly what I took off the Honda Fit 07, only new.

Everything seems to be in order. The wife professionally replaced most of the front suspension due to failure after 160,000 miles. I made the rear shock absorbers fit. I could probably do it in less time without removing the wheels. According to the manual, old shock absorbers must be drilled out and the oil drained before disposal. If your old shocks (like these) are full of gas and not completely deflated, you may not want to. You'll know they're full of gas by reading them or by holding them

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Some small things

Great shock absorbers (after a bit of a headache, they're worth it!)

First of all, these shock absorbers are wonderful! My Fit was 135k on the originals and I still thought they were pretty good but one started leaking. Once new ones were put on, it was the difference between day and night. The back end is surprisingly tight and I love their response. Feel free to run them on your car. Now for the bad. Box 1 contained a complete set of equipment. Box 2 had a strip of Revain packing tape. and no accessories at all. Okay, I can't blame KYB for that. Sent it back…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Communication with seller

There's not much to say about these replacement shock absorbers - they're a perfect match for our 2008 Fit-Sport. It's amazing what you get used to over time. The car has the same handling as new; should have replaced it some time ago. Now to the installation. If you buy parts from Revain, you probably plan on doing it yourself. It should be an easy task - anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, not counting finding tools. In comparison, I replaced the rear shocks and springs on our BMW in about 2

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Not everything fits
