Bought this brush to replace an old kabuki that was falling apart. You can definitely tell it's synthetic BUT it does the job well! I actually replaced my larger, fluffy brush with this one because it seems to offer better coverage and less fallout.

Not as thick as my mineral brush but thick enough to easily apply my powder foundation. I will apply twice if I need more coverage. It only absorbs about half the product as it's fluffier, so I use about the same amount. The price is crazy! I will never buy an expensive toothbrush again.

Very soft, like a kitten's fur. It also doesn't roll, which seems to be the case with many synthetic brushes. I use it to gently apply SPF powder to my face. It only absorbs a very small amount at a time, so you don't have to worry about smearing. My skin is sensitive and I easily burn myself with foundation brushes. I also like that the grip is squat and flat at the bottom. I can stand it upright on my vanity which also helps it air dry properly when I wash my brushes.

True, I've had one for a long time, but so far the brush is still good and wonderful, "black" The pain in the handle started decreasing randomly a few months ago until it was so severe that it hit me every time I tried to use it. I use this when I paint my nails with dipping powder. It works great for this purpose but falls apart when I try to clean it with brush cleaner. This brush was designed for powder so it's a lot lighter and less sticky so the brushes may not be the problem. I order every 2 months because it's so affordable instead of trying to clean it.
