As expected, simple and straightforward.

This is exactly what I needed. Were very easy to install. I used 2 outdoor twin sockets, unscrewed the cover, put a gasket on the back of the cover, inserted the screw, popped out the locking screw, screwed back in and popped out the caulking material over the sockets along the cutouts. What could be easier. Fits perfectly in the lid, does not extend beyond the lid.

A product that I have used on all outdoor outlets and.

The product I use for all outdoor sockets and switches. At my camp in northern Maine. The outside temperature during installation was minus 5 to 15 degrees, inside 60 to 65 degrees. The temperature difference will make the switch covers and sockets too CUTE, which is not ideal! This product stops this and provides insulation.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Some little things

I don't think many highly rated reviewers consider that it doesn't actually seal when installed behind a socket or switch panel. I came back and left with a single purpose type. Not only does the multi not hold up when trying to assemble it, but the multi cuts simply slide apart a little. I don't think it can seal well. In fact, I took the extra effort (100, probably) to spray fire retardant foam on the receptacle and cable entry holes in the junction box, as well as around the outside of the…

Cover the outlets with these

. They are made of what appears to be high-quality firefighting foam. I've installed them on both switches and outlets. I've used four of these in a four gang outlet and they work well in this configuration. The edges of the foam overlapped when installing multiple bands, but the bezel still went. Like other reviewers, they work best if you insert them into the bezel with all the cutouts and then screw the plate on. Only the snippets required for your configuration will pop out. I also tried…

Not Just For Cold Weather

We have just bought a home in Florida and found that there are many air leaks throughout the home resulting in the loss of a very expensive and important air conditioner. While probably not as necessary as with the cold northern weather, we got them in the belief that any bit of hot air we could keep out would help. Previous reviewers have reported difficulties in removing the perforation to the desired shape. We've only used decorative outlet and single switch configurations, but had no…

The easiest way to install. Read it!

Great product and price. Everyone says how tedious it is to manually pull out unneeded parts. Here's a much smarter way to do it (at least for standard outlets). I found this out after I pulled one of them out with my hand and was instantly pissed. Place an intact piece of insulation inside the cover.2. Align the panel over the base.3. Put the cover back on, press it to the wall and screw it in place. The screw easily breaks through the insulation.4. A tight fit between the socket and the…

Otherwise they worked great and I had all the shapes I needed to make them.

This is a kind of craft project as you have many combinations and the shapes are only partially cut. You'll need to carefully pry or trim with a pocket knife, but that's what you need to get the remaining gasket to seal. Other than that, they worked great and I had all the molds I needed to make our home. I haven't gone through the winter with them to notice the difference. However, we did an energy audit at home and the sealed outlets let in less air. Tip: I didn't think of installing them in…

Simple and effective for GFI switch ornament covers

Compared to other products that were irregularly shaped and/or non-flame retardant, this brand was a better choice. All sockets in my new apartment have decorative rectangular covers from GFI. This is the simplest shape that can be stamped out of these sleeve gaskets; In fact, you can stack 5 or more and punch a rectangle out of them with a single click. The first photo clearly shows that the sealer fits well, but I didn't apply it that way. After the bolts kept falling to the ground when I…
