It's a nice piece but won't hold most doors open. Not suitable for heavy doors. Since he weighs less than 3 pounds, he cannot do his job. To be honest, I cannot recommend this product.

Excellent Doorstop. Arrived on time and in good condition. The item is heavy enough to hold a solid wood door in normal winds with the windows open, yet not too heavy to easily move to close the door. The finish is beautiful and I love the look of the antique patina. Very happy with this product.

I gave it 2 stars because it's attractive and looks like the picture but useless as a doorstop because it's so light. It's good as a decorative element, but the door didn't stay open even for a second. So disappointed! I like the design but it's completely useless. Aggravating!

Perfect for our application. We live in an old farmhouse, our bedroom door slowly opens. We like to keep it slightly open for our cat and let in as much air as possible. The handle allows us to easily back up on the other side and hold the door open. Not very difficult, but it suits us.

I have ordered two of these. They are beautiful and do their job well! They are of excellent quality, heavy and have a beautiful bronze colour. The rooster is very detailed. I love, love, love this item and highly recommend it. They are doing a great job with my exterior French doors. The price is outstanding too. Great job seller! :)

We have had one since September. It consists of two parts twisted together. It's now the beginning of November, and today when we pulled up the doorstop with the handle, the bottom part with the tap fell to the ground. It no longer stays screwed. Very disappointed. I have contacted the seller but no response yet. Do not buy!

I bought this to use on the security front door. I need some weight to support the door while carrying groceries. There is no tension at all on the security door, but the weight of that door just topples over as if nothing happened. The weight given for this item appears to be distributed and therefore will not hold the door when the slightest wind blows. I was expecting the base to be heavier. It's not like that at all! I ended up giving this item to a friend who needed it for a hollow core…

I wasn't sure it would hold up my door when I unpacked it - it seemed lightweight. But the tiered base fits nicely under the gap at the bottom of my door and helps it stay in place and keep the door open in my crooked old house. The handle allows for easy maneuverability and I definitely use it more often than my old door wedge as I don't have to bend down all the way to turn it on and off. It has a pleasing look - not too flashy due to the slim profile, but classically simple when admiring it.
