I bought this to use on the security front door. I need some weight to support the door while carrying groceries. There is no tension at all on the security door, but the weight of that door just topples over as if nothing happened. The weight given for this item appears to be distributed and therefore will not hold the door when the slightest wind blows. I was expecting the base to be heavier. It's not like that at all! I ended up giving this item to a friend who needed it for a hollow core interior door.
