2 circuit lamp switch

Replaced a faulty 2 circuit switch in an existing lamp. Not suitable for "new construction" as the base is not included. That's actually "just courage". Our lamp has a small bulb on the base and a bulb under the shade. Position 1 - only the floor lamp is on, position 2 - only the ceiling lamp is on, position 3 - both bulbs are on, position 4 - both are off. Only a screwdriver is required for installation.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • not reliable

Ideal for electric lamp

I have a small desk/night light in my office. Recently I've had issues with the night light flickering when it's on. I thought the switch was the cause of the problem. After a while I finally found this 3 pole switch (as opposed to a 3 position switch). I was thrilled to finally be able to find a replacement switch for my lamp. The switch works great and allowed me to continue using my little lamp.

  • Few competitors

Rotary switch too delicate/loose

Technically the product works but the rotary switch is too loose when selecting options: first light, second light, both lights, off. If I'm not careful while turning the knob, it overrides the first click and goes to the second or third. Instead of turning on the light I want, I turn on the other light or both lights. Then I have to carefully return to click rotation to get what I want. It's annoying. Each turn of the switch should be more noticeable and stop. I may have received a defective…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky
