Excellent? Nib, took some effort to write a fine line

Mounted on a black Lamy Safari fountain pen. Looks good against the black safari. It replaced the included medium nib, which wrote nicely but was a bit broad. I was hoping for a good thin line, equivalent to a 0.7mm rollerball. It wrote well, smooth and even at the same time, but it was as broad as a medium quill. It took a bit of tweaking to get the thin line. With a little leveling of the teeth and buffing the tip with a microgrid (time consuming) I was able to get a nice fine line. A little…

Writes more like a medium pen than a fine

This writes wider than I expected. It's more of a medium than a fine. I replaced a former fineliner with this pen on my Lamy Safari and was a bit disappointed. It can still be used, but I have other medium-tipped pens that I prefer to the nibs, and I probably won't use this nib, or I can just put the former fine nib back on it. I was expecting it to write just like my pilot Metropolitan, hoping I'd have two everyday writers to switch back and forth, but I think I'll just have to try a few…

It doesn't work without effort and patience.

On the other hand, after a little convincing, this pen writes better than my original pen. I got it as a replacement for my Safari's F nib, which I've had for ages but has always felt a bit clunky and feels much wetter and wider than a fine nib should write. (I have a lot of EF nibs and the difference between this F and these EFs was mind blowing). On the more negative side, this feather didn't fit in the feeder initially.
