Lang Tools 854 Heavy-Duty Hose Removal/Installer Kit Review

These are excellent quality tools that my mechanic husband loves and uses in his job. They are good for heavy duty applications and have no sharp ends which can be used for replacing hoses on diesel trucks and working in confined spaces.

These two tools are similar in design, with a straight tool and a curved tool. Have used both with great results. The curved shape offers excellent control, prevents slipping and minimizes joint injuries. I expect they will last for many years. Expensive, but you get what you pay for - an exceptional tool set.

Much better than the radiator hose removal tool. I have used this on a 4" and 2" radiator hose. I also managed to remove the 3.5" rubber connector hose that was connected to the intercooler for the diesel engine's turbocharger. Thanks to this tool, I was able to reuse hoses. They are well done. i used it By far the best way to remove a hose that feels like it's stuck to a metal pipe. Using a penetrating spray with this tool is the way to go.

I will complete this photo. These things are pretty thick and strong, well made solid tool. I've always had to worry about puncture old or weak hoses at work in the past when using hose picks (and then we had to wait 2-3 weeks for a new hose to be shipped and add extra time/labor for the job ). . These things saved me from having to remove 4-12 inch hoses from diesel equipment and increased my productivity by a ton in the past week. Yes, they are expensive, I would happily pay $10-20 less. but…

I really like these things. Gone are the days when you could use a standard hose pick and be careful not to puncture it. Don't get me wrong, there is room for a pickguard here, but it will not fit most radiator and fuel hoses. They fit directly into most hoses and are easy to use. I really hope they end up coming out with a smaller spoon for smaller hoses, but I've done my best so far. I haven't had to pick my pants yet and all the guys in the store immediately stopped by Amazon for a pair…
